It’s great to be able to partner with Bogosplit at both Assembly Row and now Copley Place for this mixed media feature.
On display and for sale are “fabricate::recreate” and “Alchemy Sun.”
fabricate::recreate is a tribute to the unending process and potential of creation, from the cosmic – as this has a stellar/lunar appearance – to the individual, making a painting out of recycled fabrics. The piece contains a large quantity of mica, acrylics and various glosses. The title also references the process of mechanical fabrication, of applying layers like a microchip. “Recreate” also has an alternate pronunciation, as in having fun and enjoying the process.

“Alchemy Sun” is symbolic, dedicated to the ongoing process of transformation, refinement and evolution. It celebrates the power of the sun and cosmic rays that share their benevolence with us every day, part of the truly awesome grand design. It is also an emblem of perseverance, not giving up on visions, of personal evolution and growth, of learning and discovering from process.
