Studio Shangri-La Lab Notes: Improved Air Quality & Flashing Lights

Preliminary results

Here comes Earth Month and onwards with the journey of the ‘Black Pearl’ — testing title only. It will definitely receive an uncontested name later on. Interestingly, the next emissions and variation test yielded even more improved air quality. The difference here was improving the components to be more streamlined, and the lights were flashing at roughly 1 second intervals.

It’s definitely one thing to have a great idea — that’s important — and then quite another to start building that idea and begin effectively bringing it to life. If the idea is strong and cohesive enough, it partly seems to bring itself to life! That’s another matter. The process uses both inductive and deductive reasoning.

Because of some unforeseen testing results, the vision for the photocatalytic trash can has grown even better. The vision has grown from a portable device that completely breaks down (plastic) waste safely into harmless byproduct — to specifying that byproduct can indeed be water and harmless, even beneficial gases like hydrogen. So it triples as an air purifier.

Improved air quality

I’m assuming the process is emitting hydrogen gas, which is good, because that has been known to reduce CO2. That’ll be another subject of further testing and analysis.

As you can see in the video, the most recent test yielded a small amount of water. Next time I’m going to film the entire process inside the container so there is proof and so I can see it too. I am of course learning even more as I go. I will also need to begin testing the water content.

This time when I opened the container, unlike a previous test, the water was only inside the container, and not pooling underneath it. The bottle was dry of course beforehand. And surrounding the collection of water inside the bottle, there were no condensation droplets and the temperature was cool.

I have more tests to run of course to isolate exactly what’s working and analyze. This will be both fun and very interesting. And it is indeed magical. That’s the beauty of light, atmospheric nature and electrons for you! : )

May the strong and weak forces be with this endeavor, and all others like it, in cleaning up our Earth and evolving our systems.

Imagine the ‘Black Pearl’ in one of these
