An upbeat pop single about choosing yourself, written by the young artist and produced by GRAMMY®-nominated, multi-platinum producer Roy Hamilton III.
Sloka Reddy has released “Shine Like Me,” her first original single, following her earlier cover of Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me.”
Reddy wrote the song herself. She told The Singer’s Company she wrote it “while sitting on my living room couch,” and that it’s “about choosing yourself, embracing who you are, and never letting anyone define your path.” GRAMMY®-nominated, multi-platinum producer Roy Hamilton III then produced the single.
Plastic Magazine described its sound as “breezy guitar tones” over “a laid back groove of tapping drums and funky guitar pips.” The message is simple: self-belief is open to anyone, and no one should let others dim their light.
“If ‘Shine Like Me’ reminds even one person to believe in themselves,” Reddy said, “then it’s done exactly what I hoped it would.”
