The next and fifth movement of my cosmic tech opera Electric Echoes is “We Are The Tech Of The Tech Of The Tech” which is quite simply an expression of cosmic heritage and interconnectedness.
The characters are as follows:
Stellaris – Embodiment of Stars and Planetary Bodies
Micros – Embodiment of Microbes and Life at the Microscopic Level
Anthropos – Embodiment of Humanity
Technos – Embodiment of Artificial Intelligence and Technology
Cosmai – Embodiment of Cosmic Intelligence and Universal Consciousness
I’ve been using generative AI or chat, GPT as a collaborator to help me with structure, character development, and lyrics, as I am doing all the music and vocals. It helps to delegate with a big project like this! And the program has been very helpful as I go along. For this movement, AI had some very inspiring words to say about the character of Anthropos representing humanity, and I used that paragraph verbatim. You can see what GPT had to say in the images below.
Musically, each of the characters has a different vocal sound, and some of them are somewhat distorted and alien sounding like Micros. and surprisingly enough to me, I started taking a tonal cloud approach and creating some shapes like DNA and keys with the synth input. You can see examples of that in the images below.
